Nike Fall 2009 Preview

Although it is only February, we are already getting some insight as to releases that Nike has in store for us during this upcoming Fall. Nike 1World Air Force 1 - Maharam

The Nike 1World Project has been pushing out some hot releases recently, with the latest being this pair of Nike 1World Air Force One - Maharam. They are a collaboration with Nike and textile manufacturer Maharam and should be labeled as a unique, never-before seen collaboration. The shoe use a cloth material on the upper which creates a unique look on this classic silhouette. The red contrast stitching features a trail like pattern in different places. The upper features a combination of brown and green with a felt look to it. Via Passover.

Nike For the Love of the City Pack

Nike's ”For the Love of the City” Pack captures the essence of the four city locations of the House of Hoops including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Houston. Each sneaker is made up of unique characteristics that represent the city. For example, the Los Angeles Dunk Low features plastic applications referring to plastic surgery. Also found on the Dunk is a photo blue and white color scheme which sports stitching that outlines the swoosh. Moving on to the New York City Dunk High, the shoe is composed of a blue, white and silver color scheme with a glow in the dark outsole. Chicago is portrayed on the patent leather Vandal High that incorporates “sizzzurrp” into a dripping design. Completing the four pack is a Air Force II created for Houston. This premium sneaker is constructed out of various premium materials with a twine and British tan palette. Look for the pack to hit all of the House of Hoops location on February 21st. Air Jordan Dub Zero - Black / Laser Blue

This is a nice colorway but me personally, I don't like this shoe. The blue is sexy and all ut du zeros are a no-no.

A new Air Jordan Dub Zero was confirmed for 2009 with images coming at the end of last year, but releasing this year is one other colorway of the sneaker. Dub Zero fans will be happy to find a black and laser blue model on store shelves when it releases later this year in May. This Dub Zero consists of a black base with patent leather and laser blue accents. Also featured on this new make-up is a compliation of sneakers lasered at the sides in white and black. Look for this release on May 23rd retailing at $160, but you can get your pair a few months early at Marquee Sole.

Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Toki Lux

Nike Sportswear introduce the Zoom Toki Lux. Taking inspiration from both their Nike Zoom Sabaku and the Nike Blazer models, the Toki reflects another hybrid effort of sorts. The kicks retain distinct characteristics of the Lux series including a basic, wearable color palette built with premium materials. These stylishly sophisticated silhouettes will come in three colorways (Black, Medium Brown, Blur). The first two color tones will be available exclusively at ALIFE (NYC), Bodega (Boston), Darkside (San Francisco), DQM (NYC), Goods (Seattle), HUF (San Francisco), Shoe Gallery (Miami), UNDFTD (LA, Las Vegas, Santa Monica) and both Nike Sportswear stores in LA/NYC while the Blur will only be available through 21 Mercer. A release is scheduled for February 13th, 2009.

In a first-time partnership with Casio G-Shock, Hong Kong’s Amazing Yo play to the tune of the upcoming Valentine’s Day festivities with a bold pink G-Shock. Arguably the runner-up in the popularity contest to the OG DW-5600, the chunky DW-6900 is seen in bright pink which also corresponds with Amazing Yo’s own penchant for funky colors. Other details can be seen on the watch strap and backlight. The watch is limited to 50 pieces and available at LUX in Hong Kong with a suggested retail price of $1280 HKD (approximately $165 USD).

ALIFE 2009 Spring Everybody Mid & Chaser Sneakers
